One of the extensive studies that was conducted in the early 1980’s in the West  states that:
The best breastfeeding effect on the cognitive growth reveals itself at the first two years for the baby. This study is based on the “Emotional Security Theory ” which suggests that the axis of Psychological Security begins from the infancy stage, and that reflects on the children when they reach the puberty stage, and then they become more cooperative with adults and their companions.

Studies on Breast feeding based on “the degree of comparative intelligence” show that:

Children who had breast feeding from their mother are more intelligent and have their personalities developed more so than those who didn’t and stayed at nursery institutions.

Breast feeding is not only a psychological need, but also is an attitude, and the source of psychological, mental, and social health which is essential for the development and balance in the life of both of them, the baby and his mother.

It could be noticed from the infant’s response from breast feeding, such as his joyful expressions, that if the mother delays feeding him, he gets angry and starts crying and protesting, then he starts to do expressive psychological movements.  That is considered the emotional connecting language, so that the infant gets his first and important chance to start his psychological and social interaction to acquire psychological security, love, exchange emotions, language and expressional responses, and mental and behavioral standards in his first two years.
